The Lake Zurich Area Veterans Monument

This 2004 Governor's Hometown Award winning monument is dedicated to all US and
Allied Military Veterans, who have served, are serving and will serve in the future; living and deceased; peace time and times of war. The names of hundreds of Lake Zurich and surrounding area residents and their relatives are engraved on bricks surrounding the monument. You can visit the monument at 200 Mohawk Trail Road in Lake Zurich, located just in front of the Lake Zurich Police Facility and across from the ELA Township Public Library.

Our Community Involvment
Volunteers will be out the weekend of May 25th accepting donations for Poppies. All monies collected are turned over to the Veterans Hospital. Administration costs are taken care of by the Auxilliary as is the cost of the Poppies. Be on the lookout for our Volunteers on the street corners and in front of LZ Business.

Lake Zurich Post #964 received the "1st Presidents' Award" from the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce on Jan 23, 2012 at their Evening of Excellence, for our participation in various Community Events. Accepting the Award was Sr Vice Cmdr Tony Roberti.

Past PostCmdr/Post Judge Advcte and 2nd Division Vice Commander Tom Marciciak congratulates Rich Johnson on achieving 60 years with The American Legion. A plaque from the Post and the National Commander were presented to Rich at the Feb 17, 2012 10th District Meeting held at our Post.
